Portrait of Daniel Banati

Technical artist with a background in creative production and operational environments.

I'm Daniel Banati, an Industrial Technical Artist student based in Gothenburg. I enjoy working where technical problem-solving and visual development meet — from real-time environments and materials to interaction, tools and technical workflows.

Before moving into technical art, I worked within cultural production and operational logistics. That background has shaped the way I approach projects today: structured, collaborative and focused on finding practical solutions.

I'm currently developing my skills in Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender and procedural workflows, with a particular interest in real-time visualization and technical art.

Curiosity doesn't really stop at work.

Outside technical art, I spend a lot of my time around film, cooking, running, football, travelling, fishing and discovering new fragrances. With Hungarian roots and a background spanning Finland, Norway and Sweden, I've always been curious about different places, cultures and perspectives.

I enjoy discovering new places, trying new things and understanding how things are made — whether that's a real-time environment, a film production or something completely unrelated.

That curiosity is also a big part of what draws me to technical art: there is always another tool to learn, a system to understand or a problem to solve.
